The band is warming up at Slim's and the clouds are rolling in on a humid August night as lightning, moon, clouds and stars fill the sky.




A tired and restless traveler walking though a mid-summer night thunderstorm sees a building lit up by the storm. As he approaches he hears music coming from inside. He enters a dark bar that, with the exception of a bar-tender and a ragged band onstage, is totally deserted. He sits at the bar and listens to the wonderfully sleazy music. Seeing his guitar, the bassist in the band asks the traveler to come upstage and join his family band, The Sides for a song. This is the first song they played.
