about

I wrote the music for this way back in 1978, and some of the lyrics seven years later (hence the title) but it wasn't until 2005 that I actually finished it. There is nothing new here: love lost, longing sort of tune built in the studio.

lyrics

I got so many questions that i don't know where to start.
I keep looking to the heavens but the answer's in your heart.
And I want to there with you and I want to know your mind.
I want to know your secrets, tell me everything's fine.

I want to find forgiveness and I want to find release.
My seven years are over but I can't find any peace.
And I got this nagging question in the bottom of my heart:
if you knew this was the end then, why did we even start?

Leave it all behind you now. Keep moving.

Well I'm looking in the distance and I think I see a sign.
Could everything be circling around another time?
And I'm looking in the night sky and I find a falling star,
I hope that that direction takes me back to where you are.

Leave it all behind you now. Keep moving.
